I am British journalist researching stories on prisoner abuse
in UAE jails. If you could help me in this regard I would be most grateful.
I am interested in speaking to former inmates and people who have had access
into UAE jails.
Also I have heard there is a jail called Umkhairz situated out in the Empty Quarter near the Saudi border.
I have heard rumours that although it was shut down under international pressure
it is actually functioning secretly again.
Any help you can give me would be most appreciated.

Thank you for your website and the good work you are doing. I work for an NGO called Oasis. We, along with the NGO ECPAT are running a campaign called Business Travellers against Human Trafficking.
The aim of this campaign is to inform business travellers about human trafficking and also to empower them to put pressure on hotels and the travel
industry to break the link between them and sex trafficking.
I was wondering if you are able to supply information about hotels which are linked to sex trafficking
in Dubai or put me in contact with NGOs working directly in this field who might be able to help me. Thanks
in advance for your help.
Yours,
Phil Lane

My name is Paula Aoyagui, I'm a journalist from Brazil.
I work in brazilian magazine "Veja", and I'm doing a story about the camel races.
I found your website www.uaeprision.com very interesting and informative.
So, I was thinking if you could help me with some data and numbers on the camel races.
Do you know, for example, in which countries this sport is popular?
Where do they get the children slaves to run in the camels?
And how much money do these races generate?
Are people respecting the law and not allowing such small children to race?
I would appreciate it very much if I could talk some more with someone about this subject.
Thank you in advance for your atention.
