10 Smart Reasons to
STOP Port Deal!

This report is an indictment of dishonest UAE authorities, who operate without respect for the rule of law and the inherent dignity of mankind".

There is no democracy or democrats or elected governments in the UAE. The unwritten but generally recognized ban on criticism of the Government restricts academic freedom. Government restrictions on freedom of the press and public association make it difficult for human rights N.G.O's to investigate and criticize the Government's rights restrictions.

The universal ratification of the Convention reflects a global commitment to the principles of children's rights. "Children are neither the property of their parents nor are they helpless objects of charity. They are human beings and are the subject of their own rights". Despite the existence of rights worldwide, thousands of children were trafficked and sold in the UAE, into slavery to serve as Camel jockeys.

The United Arab Emirates, the financial center for the Gulf area, is believed to attract funds from  terrorist groups.  Intelligence report provides the nexus among terrorists, narcotics traffickers, human traffickers, weapons proliferators and organized crime networks. According to the Associated Press, the United Arab Emirates has not had a major terrorist attack.

The Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control, a non government advocacy group, last year published a list of 38 weapons-related smuggling cases in which the goods moved through Dubai and the other islands that constitute the United Arab Emirates.

The following ten reasons that may help further reveal the truth.

                                        The BCCI Affair

Abedi created the UAE. He planted the idea of the UAE as a federation to Sheikh Zayed. These people had no standing anywhere in the world. They were smugglers and tribesmen. (The BCCI Banking Scandal).

No Free Trade Pacts Without Reform !

The United States and the European Union should not sign free trade deals with the UAE until it ends its mistreatment of foreign workers.

One of the world’s largest construction booms is feeding off of workers in Dubai, but they’re treated as less than human. It’s no surprise that some workers have started rioting in protest. What’s surprising is that the government of the UAE is doing nothing to solve the problem.
